Physical STRESS
Physical stress or trauma comes in many forms. Common physical stress causes major or minor injuries to the musculo-skeletal structure including muscles, bones, joints, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue. These injuries over-heal with scar tissue causing structural imbalance and instability affecting the alignment of bones and joints.
Over time, the body grows further into the misalignments also known as Sub-luxations, causing more damage to joints, tendons, ligaments and surrounding tissues such as blood vessels, lymphatic chambers and nerve channels.
Prolonged mis-alignments result in loss of blood, oxygen and nutrients to surrounding bones, organs and tissues leading to a process called necrosis. Necrosis is a process of dying or decaying of these tissues similar to tooth decay and equivalent to a dry rotting affect. This is extremely common but can go undetected for years.

Chiropractic doctors are the only health professionals who have developed a scientific system of detecting and correcting these sub-luxations. The negative effects of sub-luxations are devastating to the health of the individual. Caught early enough, these misalignments can be corrected and the degenerative effects of necrosis could be prevented.

The most common first physical trauma to the human body is during the birth process. Known as Traumatic Birth Syndrome, infants are commonly physically injured during birth. Many childhood ailments are the result of sub-luxations from birth.

Parents who are educated to this fact and utilize chiropractic care at an early age, commonly find that their children rarely get sick and when they do, they recover quickly as a response to repairing these sub-luxations.
Other examples of physical stress include:

Poor Posture

Slip and Falls

Repetitive Injuries

Lack of Exercise
